Davidson College Store Return Policy

We want all of our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchases.

To best serve you, we highly recommend requesting an emailed copy of your receipt.

Course Materials

Receipt/order# is required for ALL returns.  Textbooks (including rentals) are eligible for a full refund within the first week of classes. Textbooks purchased or rented for courses that have been dropped may be returned within the drop/add period.  Textbooks purchased after the drop/add deadline may be returned within one business day from the date of purchase. All new course materials are eligible for return only if they are in the same condition as originally purchased except in the case of a publisher defect.  New textbooks may be credited as used (25% off) if returned within the returns period and don’t meet the new book criteria. Access codes which have been revealed may not be returned at any time.

Returns on all other merchandise.

Receipt/order# is required for ALL returns.  All non-perishable, clothing and gift items may be returned for a full refund or exchanged to the Davidson College Store within 90 days from the date of purchase/receipt. Returned items must be in new (unworn, unwashed, undamaged) and saleable condition, with original tags still affixed.  Size exchanges may be made at any time, provided the item meets all other return criteria, and has not been discontinued.

Shipping for all returns/exchanges not due to defect or fulfillment error is the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping returns: Must provide receipt or original order number.  Please enclose your name, address and phone number with the merchandise. Please indicate whether you would like a refund, or exchange.

Indicate which items you wish to exchange, and the size and color of the item you wish to receive. In the event of a shipping/fulfillment error, or defective merchandise your return shipping cost will be reimbursed.  Damaged or defective merchandise claims must be made within 30 days of receipt.

A $10.99 reshipping charge for exchanges may be required.

Clothing and general merchandise may only be credited 75% of the retail price towards an immediate purchase without a receipt. 

Perishables, food or drink items, are non-returnable.

We are not able to offer store credit.
